ANIMALS

Your pets are most welcomed on board and they deserve our care.

Gabon Airlines allows small animals in cabin (dogs, cats, birds, rodents) not exceeding 5 kilos weight. The applicable fee, subject to modification, is 150€ or 98.400xaf. A maximum of 6 animals is accepted per flight on our Boeing 767-200 and 4 on our narrow body aircraft.

Animals carried in the cabin lust travel in a dedicated and adapted travel bag equipped with aeration holes. Birds must be placed in a covered cage and rodents in a metallic one. The content in which the animal will be placed must not exceed 115 centimeters in size (addition of the 3 dimensions). The owner of the animal could not be seated nearby an exit.

Other animals than those listed above could be refused by Gabon Airlines in case they can disturb the other passengers.

All animals exceeding 5 kilos and weighting maximum 75 kilos must be carried in bulk in an adapted cage. The fees are the following :

6 to 32 kilos including cage weight, 150€ or 98.400xaf,
33 to 45 kilos including cage weight, 450€ or 295.200xaf
46 to 55 kilos including cage weight, 600€ or 393.600xaf
56 to 75 kilos including cage weight, 750€ or 492.000xaf

A vaccination certificate will be requested at check in.

Animals weighting over 75 kilos must be carried by Gabon Airlines Cargo.

Exception : Guide dogs can be accepted in the cabin under specific conditions. Please contact us.

Some advises before travelling

- Make sure that you have all necessary documents including vaccinations
- Consult your veterinary before starting your travel
- Don’t feed your animal during the last 4 hours before starting your travel
- Give him only water until last minute and don’t forget to leave an empty tin just in case it would be needed
- Cover the back of the cage with some absorbent matter
- Don’t lock the cage in order to leave a free access to our staff in case of emergency
